Good Deal on Excursion?

Found a 00' Excursion Limited, around 91k miles, V10 engine.

Dealer is asking $9,995... is that a good deal?

Good is a relative term, but in today’s crazy market, the seller will probably get that much from someone pretty quickly.

I would think the vehicle condition, which you didn’t mention would play a very big part in the good/bad discussion.

it might be, or it might be your worst nightmare. all depends on the condition and your expectations.

one thing for sure, V10 prices are falling faster than they shot up during the toliet paper panic

I asked the dealer for pictures of the the body because I want to make sure there’s isn’t a TON of rust. Hoping that everything checks out. How should
i go about making sure the rest of the vehicle is in good shape? Should I take it to a mechanic
and have it looked over?

I looked over the CARFAX and it’s been serviced regularly for 20 years. Only thing I’m really unsure of is the rust.

My expectation is that it will be a truck JUST for towing my camper, it won’t be a daily driver. I have an F150 for that 😉

Rust is the big issue here. As one who spent massive amounts of time money and energy fixing it, I'd never buy another vehicle either anything more than surface rust again. Mechanical stuff can get expensive too but not to the same degree as body work.

You have never mentioned where this Ex has lived it’s life? It would be a great help for us to advise you further Rust is one of the main factors if it’s a good deal!!!
