03 navigator cluster lights dim when cold
Hey guys,
like in the description, my 03 Navi cluster lights/leds, are so dim when the Temps outside are cold (below 40 degrees) you can read the speedo, tach, etc. when the trucks inside temp is up above about 55 degrees you can then see the speedo.
anyone experienced this and how did you fix it?
I'm giving the truck to my daughter to take to college next winter in the Michigan UP so Temps are cold up there.

Good morning fixit. Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your cluster!
I'd like to confirm two things:
1) The gauges themselves are fine and function normally.
2) The cluster is the only module having backlighting issues -- the rest of the dash is lit up as usual and brightens/dims with the dimmer switch.
If you can confirm the two things listed above, then I recommend sending the cluster in for testing/repair. We have a repair service listed here, which restores backlighting to the odo and gauges.
