Hello all. Was wondering if anyone has moved the brake pedal to the firewall with one of the kits available and kept the stock floor clutch pedal. Thinking of going this way with a disc brake upgrade, but can only seem to find pictures of the conversion done with an automatic transmission. I would be retaining the stock 4 speed. Truck is a 51 f3 with 226 flathead. Thanks in advance.
Usually a two petal setup are the same height and same movment to reduce petal confusion when the train is going to hit you.
It will be hard, but not impossible to get both petals the same height. I am a big fan of the firewall mounted master cylinder.
Thanks for the reply. I agree, the firewall mount is the way to go. I guess we will see how it works out. Wish there was a way to move the clutch pedal to the firewall too without much trouble.
I had never hrard of anyone doing the brake on firewall and clutch on floor. Then this morning looking around on line I found this truck on ebay- looks like he did it- Check out interior and eng comp. pics close. I think it would be bad... https://www.ebay.com/itm/29496878394...n&LH_Auction=1

There is:
Wilwood are expensive, this is a Titon at Speedway for $ 475.00 US. Shown with master cylinders ??? https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Tilto...UaAshIEALw_wcB
Clutch will also need a slave cylinder, (A hydraulic clutch is hard to bleed, no residual check valve.)
Probably more makes available , google is your friend. Speedway would not let me download their picture, some confusion in what all is included. (Ebear: your turn) .
Thanks guys. I guess the real problem to solve would be mounting the slave cylinder to the stock linkage. It is the 4 speed crash box with stock linkage for 51. I guess the adjusting rod could be fabricated to a slave cylinder.
