Just replaced tires/rims from stock 18 inch to Bridgestone 275/65-20. Tire/rims came installed and balanced with 80 psi in them. My stock tires were recommended at 65psi. Max load inflation psi on new sidewall is 80psi. I dropped to 65, but curious what others run in their 20”s when not loaded or hauling. Thanks…….Tonebone
I run 65 psig in the rear and 60 psig in the front whether I'm towing or not. My truck is the best riding vehicle we have, even beats my wife's 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring model!
Thanks for the responses, think I’ll try the 60 front/65 rear
An F-250 with 20" wheels has a suggested psi of 60 front/65 rear(tire max 80). But that is based off of the maximum capacity for the 250. Unloaded they can be lower. I aim for around 55 all around on my unloaded diesel 250.
When I first got my truck, September 2021, about 4500 miles ago, I thought the OEM tires were quite "hard" and could feel every little crack in the road. So I let some air out, about 5 pounds under what the sticker called for and the ride seemed a little better.
Now that gas is outrageously priced and I'm trying to squeeze every MPG I can out of this thing, I pumped my tires up to 65 front and 75 rear, a little over the sticker. This didn't seem to diminish ride quality any. So I guess it takes a little time to soften up the sidewalls a bit. Or my butt has become calloused.
So you may revisit your pressures after the tires get broken in a little.
