Gauge wiring
As an electrician I hate automotive electrical. Im more familiar with AC not DC and none of the insulation colors make any sense. Why there no color standards?
Anyways, could someone point out the switched hots where there is easy access under the dash? Specifically the switched ignition hot? I own a 97 f350 crew 4x. I already have the headlights hot from the previous auto meter gauges. For some reason the glowshift gauges require additional wiring.

Buy an EVTM as it has schematics.
DC 12V neg ground is about all you need to know. There is nothing to it. Your radio has a switched 12V for example, power windows...you can find these with a simple test light that runs about $5.
