I won't tag onto F100supercrew's post about mirrors ' cause he's looking for long arm replacements...
I'm looking for something custom and usable. I knew the originals were notorious for not being useful so I welded up those holes
and tried something else... some corvette mirrors
they look good...but they don't LOOK good... drivers is ok but passenger is less so
I found another set I thought might work and even had the turn signals built in...
same problem and they sit too close to door...return !
so show me something that looks good and looks good to the rear!!
Good reminder Abe, as the guys are getting their trucks out from winter storage. This could be the year for you and your old truck to make an epic trip! There are good times in store for those venturing to the Pennsylvania Wilds next fall. You'll be glad you came!
When I got my 1953 it was all original. Only one mirror on the driver's side. Stuck out about a foot. I went back with small round mirrors on both sides. It has stainless steel trim around the drip rail and exterior door locks on both doors. Is that common for the 1953 anniversary model? Thanks.

The only thing added for the 50th anniversary was the horn button. Your truck is a Deluxe Cab. It has like you mentioned, the stainless bright piece on your drip edge and the exterior door locks on both doors. It also has the "teeth" on the grille and the "boomerangs" around the F100 emblems on the hood, among other things in the cab.
