'98 E350 / V10 / Clubwagon / with front & rear air conditioning.
I think I may have found my air conditioning leak (photos). If I'm correct one of these lines, that goes to the rear a/c, shows possible signs of a leak at the tube compression fitting.
Q: Once I disassemble fitting to inspect / clean / retighten (refrigerant is empty already) is there any type of thread sealant I can/should use that is appropriate for refrigerant lines ?
Also, since I rarely use rear a/c, does anyone know if it is possible to cap off rear condenser & lines, or does that throw system out of balance? Thinking I would save on refrigerant if it's a simple process.
