Cold weather oil

This is for the guys up north. What oil do you run in winter with cold temps say 10F and below? Book shows 10w30 but all that I can find locally is the 15w40. Any problems getting started with heavier oil? This is my first winter with my 2000 PSD so I dont know what to expect. Will be plugging it in when possible but go up north to snowmobile.

I live in NePA, I run Rotella T 15-40, I never had a problem. When the temp goes below 20 I plug it in if I know the truck will be sitting more than 24hours.
