Explorer rear end

Anyone running a Explorer rear end? I’m trying to locate where I should attach the sway bar end links to the frame. I was thinking they will need to be a little offset ( on a angle or degree ) of the main bar that goes side to side. If I can get a measurement from center of axle to center of mounting bolt or a degree. The rear end is out of a 96 explorer and I don’t have to a frame to measure. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it your intent to use the OEM sway bar? I opted to remove the stock bar when I installed my 8.8 rearend and go with an aftermarket NASCAR-style setup that does not interfere with my fuel tank.

I never bothered with a sway bar on the rear and for every day driving don't see the need for one..

2001 Ford 8.8

I ran a 2001 Explorer 8.8 behind my 5.0L with AOD on my original drivetrain setup.
i did not use the sway bar as I wasn't launching or doing burnouts, so no issues without.it.

sway bar

I did this set-up with my explorer rear and always use TCI rear leaf spring kit---add bottom palate and move shocks back works great-- But like others above said DO NOT need sway bar I do not use them any more with Explorer rears---

Yes, but (always a but, huh?) for many undisclosed reasons if I use coil springs (I am) than a sway bar would be recommended ?
