Nice picture,tbear thanks for sharing.
Thank you Sir.

You are right ... if I have mine correct, though I too doubt it matters a lot ... except that a "T-up attitude" looks to be less likely to rub the first coils of the red return spring. I added notes to that effect.

I too thought it was a really nice clean picture, it's why I stole it for my own files. I have pics of mine, but they aren't quite so clean & clear.

I know .... dirty / dusty. Careful with the air!

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posting for a bit, I have been crazy busy with AP Exams at school. Anyway, I pulled my rear drums off and the self adjusters literally fell out of the drums. Upon further inspection, I realized that I had put the spring in the wrong hole. Using your pictures I was able to correctly install it. Now I have it back together and the spring is nice and tight. I also put the drum on and adjusted the shoes using the little access hole on the back of the plate. Now I am working on the fronts. I got the 4x4 hubs off and am working on replacing the lines. I was able to find the lines from the block on the axle to the wheel cylinders, but I cannot source the rubber line that goes into the axle block. Anyone know where I can find that? Also, do I need to reset the proportioning valve? Where is it, and what do I have to do to it?
Thank you!

NPD should have the hose for the front. As far as the block, from my understanding you have to buy a special little tool that threads into the block in place of the switch that cuts the warning lamp on. This holds the sliding barrel in place and allows you to properly bleed the front and rear. Once all is good, you unscrew the tool and replace the switch. NPD has this tool as well, got it in my last order. $7 I think.
