Looking to put on a mild 4-6" Spring only lift - I've read that people really like the Deaver Springs. Has anyone had any good or bad results with the ICON Spring and Shocks?
I've installed Icon leaf springs on several friends Toyota's and they love them. The build quality is good as well. However, I have had some issues with Icon shocks leaking. I personally have a set of their high end 2.5" diameter RR shocks on my Land Cruiser and one is already leaking with only 2k miles. I had also installed some on a Tundra which I sold to a good friend and both were leaking with less than 5k miles on them. If you read up I think that it is a common occurrence, especially if you're planning on driving offroad. I would stick to Bilstein, Fox or King for the time being until Icon figures that out. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the springs though.
That being said I have a set of PMF spec Deaver 4" front springs which I have been very happy with and would recommend. For the rear, I have a set of 5" Pro-Comp rear leafs I am planning on installing when I get a free weekend. All the Excursion guys run them it seems and they were dirt cheap so I gave them a shot. Currently running OE re-arched springs which are pretty decent but have sagged a bit with my camper.
