converting to 4wd
alright well ive been playing with the idea of converting my truck to 4wd....ive got a hpD44 waiting for install and a donor np208..has anyone tried this before and if so how did it go?i heard i might have problems with the front end excepting the hpD44...with the support underneath the oil pan getting in the way..ive seen a few with 4wd and it seems that the transfer case is alwlays hanging down in the way..would mine end up hanging down or is that just the way it was done back then..

I cannot offer any technical assistance, but, have you entertained the idea of buying a donor 4x and just swapping the body? In my opinion, this seems like it would be the easiest route to take. I know there have been several older 4x's in the bone yard I frequent..

ive been pondering the fact of using my trucks frame and putting my '81 bronco cab on there...the bronco wont smog and im tired of smog..this would be a way outta smog.how much could i get if i tried to part out what was worth parting? the hood,fenders,cab,and bed are all good..the cab would need some help but all workable......
