I’ve always have tuners (SCT) on my f 150’s and now looking for something in 22 Superduty. Main reason is throttle response and Speedo adjustment for running 35’s so a canned or preprogrammed if fine with me. Does anyone have any feedback - particularly with the SCT or the 5 Star?
Thanks
Just got through installing a 5Star 87 octane daily heavy tow tune. Day and night difference in drivability. I think you can get a performance tune to accomplish what you are doing. I have the old SCT X4 and has always served me well for my needs.

great to hear.! I ordered the SCT 4 today as that’s the one I’ve had before and it was flawless,
I ordered a couple 87 tunes and one 93 and that’s it.
I forgot to mention that I have a 7.3 in my '20. I have 3.55's as well. It is impossible to find the 4.30's here in Alabama unless you can find a Tremor. I think in 2 years of searching local, I only saw a couple of F 250's with 4.30's that were just XL's. I looked across at the dyno charts at 5Star and saw that the biggest single gain was with the 87 octane tune for me. 93 octane had the highest numbers but the 87 octane was the single largest jump.
i ran the 5 star 87 econo tune through a SCT X4 on my 2014 with 6.2 for the 5 years i had it. made a world of difference in throttle response, faster shifts, and fuel mileage.
I was towing my 5th wheel that comes in at around 9K. I was running the 93 5 Star tow tune and it really showed up on the highway while towing. Same overall feling as yours with my old 6.2 with 3.73's. My feeling was that it put me around the numbers that the current 6.2 is putting out. We went to VA to camp a couple of years ago. Once we got off the interstate at Marion it was two lane roads up some pretty steep mountains and hills. I was in 2nd and on the floor in places but still moving. Coming back down the trans braking was more impressive than anything. Went slow and let the transmission take the brunt of it. Even though I have a 7.3 gas now, the 6.2 is still a good motor.
