HELP Ignition system

Does a stock coil from a 1985 Mustang with a normally aspirated 302 5.0 engine have an internally mounted register, or do you have to put an external resistor in the ignition system? My resister has no marking to indicate if it has an internal resister.

Stock coil does not have a resistor internal. The resistor is in the stock harness of the mustang when they used the duraspark II ignition box. The duraspark system requires the resistor. The TFI ignition system does not require resistor. The GM HEI does not require a resistor.
