Hello Everyone, I had an issue with the Compass not displaying on the overhead Console. I found the issue on the circuit board.
This element needs to be resoldered on the board and all is well. I didn't have a solering iron with me so i used a hot glue gun.
I just picked up this X a couple of days ago and was wondering if there is a outside temp that shows? I had an X about 3 or 4 years ago and can not remember. I'm sure someone will enlighten me.
Things keep "de soldering" and breaking loose in this module. I had to replace and re-solder several components.
I am thinking on enclosing it all in epoxy.
I am afraid that hot glue will fail very fast there. Mind that if solder itself fails, hot glue has no chance. You should re-solder.
Yes, there should be an outside air temperature display on the overhead...I think depending on the year it's located as aforementioned. What year is the Excursion?

It is a 2005. Yeah it is on the Climate Controls as mentioned earlier. I had an 02 a couple years ago and it was on the overhead. Just got the 05 a couple days ago and going through everything to make sure it all works.
