I certainly understand your Ebay concern, there are many scammers. You have to be very careful. When I was shopping computer equipment several years ago, people were bidding more than I could get the equipment from an online store.
I suggested another Olympus as their optics are very good and I would not want to replace four or five lenses at Nikkor(sp?) prices.
I like Canon equipment, but I am aware of high quality microscopes made by Nikon and Olympus, not Canon.
Would the non-meter body work with a hand held meter and over ride the auto mode?
Tough choices. I agree digital cameras are just not there yet. I am happy to pay $7 for digital CD from my Kodak film.

I believe a hand-held meter would work, but then again, I don't have one. This area has nothing for Olympus equipment. None of the photo shops have parts or even full cameras. I have no clue what it takes to get an Ebay account. It just doesn't seem safe to deal my money like that.
