If you have basic mechanical skills and your basic handtools you can do it yourself. A brake shop will try and rape you, so I wouldn't suggest that.
Just pull one of the wheels off, and if you really think it is too difficult, then take it to a shop.
Depending on the rotor make, you can expect to spend between $50 and $90 apiece. They aren't cheap (I replaced my fronts last June for $60 per). It is the actual removal process that will tax you more than spending the money on the rotors.

The removal may tend to be the hardest part. If they are rusted on you better budget a day and some sawzall blades or a sledge.
If you're feeling studly, though, some PB Blaster and a BFH (that's a big hammer ) should do the trick.
PB Blaster + BFH + 2 days = removed right front rotor
BFH + 10 minutes = removed left front rotor
With a lot of mechanic work the idea is to be graceful and all of that stuff.. with expedition rotors get that out of your head -
I took out the studs and just put a sammy sosa on the rotors. Just be careful not to hit the spot in the center of the rotor. Not like I did that or anything but if you do it might make your wheel not slide over the hub, and then you have the grind off the diformed metal around the center..

Well guys I did the Brakes last weekend!! It was not that hard. The rotors came off very easily. NO rust at all. I guess that's due to it being an Arizona truck.
The whole Brake job including Rotors, pads, brake fluid, and new stainless steel brake lines only cost me... $585.00!!!!
