Yea, my truck is a 1999 and the microtuner would not work on a 97-98. I think the speedometer gear needs to be changed to correct the speedo which would then correct the shift points.
I like the new Dueler Revos. Nice aggresive look, excellent wet traction and quiet on the highway. Last weekend I took the truck off-road and was surprised how well the tires worked in the sand, dirt and mud.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll go with the Revo's for my all around tire in 265/70/17" and some Mud Terrains for the serious weekends in 16". I'm still worried about the 255/85/16's rubbing though. My suspension is still stock. I don't do hard offroading , but I do get to places where "Stuck Happens".
with the stock suspension you only need to trim an inch or less of the plastic corner under the bumper.Even if you dont it was rare when mine did rub. With my tires cranked all the way ,going in reverse, and backing down over the curb, then it rubs ..must of done it a 100x before i could see where it was rubbing.it never happened when i was going forward. If you want i could send you pictues of the little bit of trimming i did.Or i could post them in my gallery at CMudFly.let me know if want some pics ....
I have Bridgestone Deuler A/T Revo on both of my trucks. 2000 F150 4x4 OffRoad Kit and a 2001 F150 4x4. The 2001 I put 255/70R16 HEAVY DUTY (I wanted to fill the wheel well). They look sweet on the truck and drive great. The last tires we had on our trucks were Wranglers RTS and I would like to mount single handed campaign to put Goodyear out of business for producing terrible tires.

I have the same size Revos on my 1999 Expedition, and live in a hilly area that sees a decent amount of snow/ice in winter. Much better snow/ice tire than the Michelin Cross-Terrains they replaced.
Just placed the order with the Tire Rack. $128 per tire with a $50 rebate (free shipping basically). The tire place down the street wanted $169!! I'll let you know how they ride. Thanks for all the input guys.
Ok i put they pictures of the trim job on www.cmudfly.com
click on pics and videos, then owners rides ,then skippy45
the 3rd pic is where i started to trim ,then i noticed that once i did the drivers side the passangers side was not rubbing
i will keep those pics up for a week unless someone else wants to see them.
Maybe ford got a little carried away with the plastic on the drivers side ..lol..
I thought it was just me (i thought i had knocked something a little out of spec.,when i hit that underwater tree root.lol.. put a fist sized hole in the tire and bent the rim .check the pics out in the june 2002 gallery on cmudfly).
Now i know it is not just me ..thanks CPerry
yes ... they come out to 33.3 x10R16..My brother(BigTigger on cmudfly) has a 97 also and he is running 265/75R16 .. no triming or anything like that ..so you are giving up 1 1/2 inches in height for a 1/2 wider...
I am also casting a sound vote for the Bridgestone Revo's they are great tires! I bought these right before the winter and they have great handeling no matter what the conditions are. Really a great tire for the money.

I believe that the Revo's are 50,000 mile tires. I really like them with the snow we got this last winter and all ther rain this spring I have had no problems with tire spine or traction during braking. If you read on tire rack and this message board you will hear people just love these tires. I got them installed for around $600 in a 265/70 R17 which is not bad considering it was winter time and that was out the door, taxes mounting balancing the whole deal. I have been very happy with them.
