Quick question on this subject matter of control arms...(excuse me if I'm redundant but I need clarification to be on the safe side)
This is the control arm I bought and had installed: MEVOTECH CTXK8722T TTX; Front Left Upper; 4WD
"Front left" means driver's side, correct ?
Because a tech many years ago on my previous upper control arms had the vice versa installed.
The "front left" was on the passenger side and "Front Right" was on the driver's side.
I guess he was looking from the exterior front of the vehicle and positioned them that way.
We changed them and for the better. They were failing and the steering had a vibration in it. It's now resolved.
Couldn't even align the truck. The tech said you can't align a truck with such a job.
I remember the wheel when completely turned had a real odd angle and was leaning out excessively. No one caught onto this.
What Lime above said. I’m currently trying to finish up with the front end rebuild on my 01 F150. The four control arms were easy, the pitman arm on the other hand….
