Looking at ditching the C6....
So, I recently discovered that I don't have 3rd gear in my truck anymore. After sitting for 24 years on top of being the original 1977 transmission, it is going to need a rebuild. Fast forward to looking at options, and there is an adapter for the 460 to hook it to the 6R80. At this point has anybody hooked up one of these to their truck and original column linkage? I have found a suitable crossmember from Stifflers, in addition to the controller. I just want to make sure I can use my column gear selector. Fat Fender Garage offers this kit that I THINK might be the answer?

So I think I have found the final pieces to the puzzle if you will. The tech's at Fat Fender looked at the drawings for our trucks and the C6 and they are confident their bracket and rod will work. Good thing on this is I can grab the transmission from the same place as the donor bed. Install the bed and then load up the transmission lol
I am staying away from that E4OD!!! My dad's has been a nightmare, and yeah it was an early one and they were known to be nightmares.
