Here's how it worked out. Might help someone. Used hacksaw blade to groove inside of fitting. Applied torch to fitting. Collapsed it a bit and it came right out. Apparently it is not threaded at all, just stuck/pressed in. Will probably file one side of a 90 degree barb and maybe JB weld it. Way easier than expected.
