My 17 has a DPF gauge. When it reaches 100% full it starts the regen lowering the clock by 5% increments until zero. Then it starts over again.
It's under my favorites but was there when I bought it so I am not sure its a default app or added by the previous owner. I can say that its pretty hard to miss when it goes into REGEN. At least IMO. I notice a loss in power and the smell of burnt rubber. Suppose every truck is a little different
