Bed Swap Possible Issues/Compatibility questions
I Have a 2008 F250 XLT with the 6 3/4 ft bed. I am looking for a new bed, and I’ve seen a few that i think may work, but wasn’t sure of compatibility or possible cosmetic issues.
For example, would using a 2002 F250 Short bed work without major issues?

The 2002 bed would work just fine.
The 1999-2010 beds are all the same. In 2011 they changed slightly, with a more pronounced body line. The fuel door also changed shape. However, other than the look, the 2011-2016 bed will still fit your 2008 perfectly. Most people don't seem to notice or care, looks being subjective after all. I've seen many trucks with mixed style beds.
