I have a 1995 ford f150 xlt extended cab that the frame has cracked beyond repair. I am planning on taking the cab, engine and transmission and putting them on a ford f150 1995 xlt extended cab long bed 3/4 ton diesel frame. Will the driveshaft that is on the diesel work with the gas transmission or do I have to swap that as well
Forgot to mention I'm 16

no such thing as a diesel F150.
do you mean F250 diesel?
you are going to have to change engine mounts, trans mounts, complete fuel system, and a bunch of other little things to get the gas engine working in the diesel frame.
What transmission and engine mounts do I need where can I find them. Will the steering from the f150 work in the f250. What will need to be done to swap the cab engine and transmission. Any info you guys can give me will help greatly. I only have basic knowledge
Cab is a straight swap.
Engine mount brackets may swap from one frame to the other. I can send pictures of my engine crossmember if needed. I think my 7.5 and 7.3 PSD mounts were close or the same. Not sure for SBF engines.
Steering should be able to be attached to the F-250 box. It's possible to make it work if not a straight bolt up.
Transmission crossmember from the F-150 should bolt up to the F-250. My 96 frame is predrilled with several different transmission cross-member mounts.
Rear axle is different which will probably change the length of the driveshaft. Also, you may need a larger ujoint at the rear axle.
A tape measure is your friend.
Lift the cab from the ceiling. I used a 2x6 through the doors. I pulled doors and seats out to lighten the cab. There's good youtube videos on how to lift the cab off.
So the transmission mounts are part of the cross member.
so I swap the cross members.
thanks for helping. Couldn't find any info anywhere
So the steering shaft from the f150 should work the steering box of the f250. What about power steering pump.
trying to get all the info now that I can
