Fuel gauge doesn’t work
I have a 91 f150 with the 4.9. It has a brand new sending unit in the front tank, and the rear tank is disconnected, and was that way when I bought it. The rear has no fuel pump, or I’d put it back together. But with the front, the fuel gauge don’t work, even with a brand new sending unit and pump. What do?

It sits at about 3/4 to full, and sometimes even past full. When filling up, it doesn’t move, even if I leave the truck running. Just kinda sits there doing it’s own thing

New does not mean good. I have purchased plenty of dud parts over the years.
Best way is to test the sender itself, it will have say 250ohm full and 25ohm empty (arbitrary numbers). Open circuit makes the gauge read past full.
