Hi all,
So I've watched more than a dozen Youtube videos that report to show me how to access the area behind my backseat on the drivers side. I've seen the aftermarket brackets/straps, and the homemade paracord mechanisms. But I still can't figure out how to release the seat. In a Supercab the back of the seat does not move forward, away from the rear wall when you lift the bottom portion of the seat. I have found no way that works that gives me room to reach the lever to release the upper portion of the seat. I've tried a coat hanger, a wrench, a plastic flexible rod with a notch cut out. Other than stuffing things in from the passenger side, I can't access that area. So, how are you all doing it?
Yes that is correct the seat back does not move forward when you lift the bottom of the seat on the Supercab.
I was able to reach down with a box wrench hook it on the release and pull up without much issue.
The OEM little fabric or nylon pull is hard to get to. I rigged mine up with a wire. Looks like poo but cheaper than the Built Right release. I have a bunch of stuff behind that seat.
