PO353
2004 F150 4.6l with 220K on her. Newer engine last year with 140K on it.
Sputtering showed up and puled the PO353 and a P2195 code. One being cylinder 3 circuit fault, the other the Bank 1 sensor 1 fault.
First thing was to swap #3 coil and plug with #1 and see if the code jumps. It did not. Wiring fault I assumed.
Next was to check the connecter, saw wear and replaced. No change
Tested voltage and within .02v of battery. Figured close enough
Tested trigger side with Noid Light. trigger works.
Confirmed spark. Coil and plug out of cylinder. I have spark
Inspected wiring back to PCM. Couldn't find a issue. I replaced the wire, pin 12 to coil with a 16g wire (18g is OEM). No Joy..
Hear the Noise Suppression capacitor could be it. Pulled, tested cleaned contacts and replaced. No Joy
Now when I figure it's the PCM it's self. Replaced the PCM.
I'm in process of replacing Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor. It's a bear to get at and going to drop the exhaust today to replace it.
I'm lost here.. I'm cleaning grounds every time I come across another one. I want the O2 sensor changed out and eliminate that issue. I have no idea where to go from here!
Thoughts anyone?

I swapped it with #1, then read that another found his PO353 was actually an issue with Cylinder #1. So I swapped agin with cylinder #2. Same result.. No Joy.
My current thought is that I don't have consistent spark on #3. I'm trying to figure out FORscan and learn if I can read this...
Steps in order lead to rewiring to the Coil from the PCM and lastly replacing the PCM. Somewhere in this process the PO353 went away yet still showed on my Pocket OBD scanner. I went back to using FORscan (still learning this tool) and found that the PO353 was indeed gone and a new PO207 showed up (not showing on my pocket OBD). There's the rough/sputtering issue! With that cured, I have a good running 4.6l again!
I found a good site to learn more on using FORscan and lesson is learned not to fully trust these compact/portable/pocket OBD scanners. Use FORscan (I sound like an investor.. I'm not) it's real tool! I'm now a big fan it!
