I haven’t seen this discussed before. I had planned on moving my floor mats over to my new F250 from my old 2018 F150. In fact, the mats from my ‘18 F150 were brought over from my 2015 F150. I knew I would have to replace the rear mat because of the foldable storage box in the new truck, but I was surprised to learn the driver’s side mat didn’t fit that well.
Why is the driver’s side floor pan in the Super Duty different than the F150? The fitment of the passenger side mat was still perfect. The main problem on the driver’s side is the hard piece underneath the parking brake. It’s not nearly as elevated as it is in the F150’s. If it wasn’t for this piece, the fit would be pretty close. There appears to be a very slight difference underneath the gas pedal and the floor pins don’t line up either, but these things wouldn’t necessarily be a deal breaker.
I ordered new mats, but I’m curious what gives? Not that it matters, but I have the Husky X-act Contour mats and hadn’t planned on dropping the extra $120 on a new front set.
