There is no engine (serial or VIN) number if that is what you are looking for.. Ford doesn't do that. There may have been a decal or sticker on the valve cover with some engine info when the truck was new but chances of that still being there is slim. The only thing you may find are the engine block casting numbers down by the starter, but that will only tell you that it is from roughly the same manufacturing period as the truck.
