Magnetic Drain Plug

Was wondering if anyone has switched the factory drain plug to a magnetic one? I was changing oil on my wifes Tahoe and noticed that she has a magnetic plug and the Ranger does not. It would seem logical to have one to attract all the shavings from the engine. Will installing one cause any interference??

I would think you would be ok. You could probe the hole with a screwdriver with the crank at different positions.

I don't see anything wrong with it, I bought my Ranger used, when I changed the oil, noticed that it had a magnetic oil plug.
