PCV valve & filter?

Replacing PCV valve but is there a filter that goes with this part??

The hose from the PCV valve goes straight into the rear of the upper intake plenum. There is a breather filter that goes into the bottom of the airbox under the airfilter. Follow the long hard plastic 1/2" tubing from the filler neck on the crank case over to the airbox...there it is.

i am not sure but that was done away with with the conversion to mass air. my 96 does not have this air filter tube and filter under the large element. come to think of it i have never found it, does anyone know where it is on a 96 5.0? maybe a 5.8 is different.

On MAF engines, the PCV system pulls filtered air straight out of the plastic intake Y between the MAF and the throttle body. (I don't know why ALL engines don't do it that way!)
