88 f150 5.0, check it, the front headlights work but the passenger turn signal is off compared to the driver side which is lit when the headlights are fully engaged. The turn signal works when I need to turn just not lit when the driver side is. I know the bulb is good because it still blinks. What could be the issue?
Multi-meters pay for themselves 10x over if you don't have one. But if not, then for now you can swap bulbs side for side. If the trouble follows the bulb, you've found your issue. If it remains on the one side, then check the contacts in the socket. They can get bent/deformed/rusty over time.
But if they look good, you may either have a bad/failing ground connection or a bad wire somewhere. Money is on the ground being an issue since it's so common. But it's not the only problem that can crop up, so don't assume.
It's probably possible for it to be the light switch itself, but I don't know that for a fact with your year and for sure don't just throw a new switch at it based on my comment! If you have a volt-meter, follow the volts!
