Hello, I’m new here. I just came into possession of a 1945 Ford flatbed and I was wondering if anybody could help me identify points on the rear of the vehicle to hook a winch to….

Welcome to FTE. Click on the "Forums" banner at the top left of your screen. Scroll to "Older, Classic and Antique Trucks". Then scroll to "1947 and older Ford Trucks". The folks that frequent that section are the experts and should be able to help.

Welcome. Please clarify. Are you wanting to permanently mount a winch to the bed behind the cab, or do you want to winch the truck perhaps onto your trailer? If permanently mount, as bernette said mount it to the bed with bracing between frame and bed boards or directly if boards are removed as was my Tulsa Model 19 below. Near the cab for balance. If you’re wanting to move the truck onto your trailer, the cable connected to either axle front or rear works. Stu
