Thank you for all of your assistance. I believe the issue I am having has to do with the ignition switch and starter solenoid. I am not sure of the relationship between the two and the fuel system however after doing a lot of research I see that this is somehow tied together. I am having an issue with the solenoid not working from the key switch and having to jump it. When I pull the line off from the switch to jump the solenoid it will always work however when I put the line back on it changes the idle speed of the truck. It appears to be back feeding the switch somehow. I have not been able to locate a wiring diagram for the switch / solenoid circuit to include what it is feeding. Everything is showing the line to be a momentary contact 12 vdc to the solenoid to pull in the relay and send power to the starter. In the RUN position this line should be open. Do you know the relationship between them? Have you seen the ignition switch or believe the switch could be the problem. I read in another thread that when the code comes after the pause it is an intermittent issue. That is the problem I am having, it is not a constant issue and I have had problems with both the switch and the solenoid. Could it be as simple as the switch in the wrong position so that in run the contacts are not lined up properly? This would also explain why it will not fire the solenoid to turn over the starter. I know I am grasping at straws right now but really don't know what direction to head with this. Could it somehow be cutting the power to the fuel pumps? Your thoughts
Thank you I will review them all. The code for the fuel pump cleared, now I have a code for the Neutral Safety Switch. I am curious if that can be related to the fuel pump issue as they share a common ground I believe with the inertia switch.
I appreciate any and all input. This truck truly runs strong when it is running and I really need it put to work
Hey everyone, thank you all for your assistance and input. I believe I finally have the issue resolved. There was a bad connector against the firewall. This was the connector for the NSS and the line to the starter relay. The fuel pump issue was also a loose ground connection. Will be going over all other connector this weekend. Just glad to finally have it on the road. You guys rock! Very thankful for all of your knowledge with these older trucks. Love my old Ford!

Awesome to hear man. older vehicles come with their own challenges, but once you follow the basics, they fall right in line. Ive almost got mine ready for firewood season that starts next week. Its driveable, just have to swap between tanks until the back tank is empty enough to drop and replace.
