No coolant temp reading
Installed new water pump and motorcraft sensor in the housing . First issue was new thermostat as stuck closed so I thought there was an air pocket and the sensor was not reading. Removed the thermostat and no more air lock, but new sensor still not reading.
Anything to test before I order another one?

Should be able to check the resistance between the pins on the sensor to see if it functioning in spec. Here's some base numbers for reference.
