It's really tough to make a traditional box look right with the cab so high. It appears they wanted the top of the bed to match to where the bed would come against the cab on a standard pickup. The problem is it comes up about a foot and a half higher.

I get that. That was my thought. Perhaps he should have tried for a happy medium. I'll never own a COE, but I think they look better with flatbeds.
I talked to this guy yesterday. Asking 30K, not safetied. Has the original front end, original frame. Newer interior, new gauges. Motor/tranny is original out of another truck of unknown condition. Everything works as it should. "Should need nothing for safety". Custom box. Is it worth that much? I see 5-6K for the cab, perhaps 3-4K.for the motor. 2K for gauges and interior. Box doesn't look right so it would have to be changed. Not painted.
I think Marten is correct and close by to the seller. Original front end without disc brakes and suspension? Need a modern chassis and suspension, with power steering and brakes. Unknown motor? How hard is it to figure out the exact motor and trans with all the decoders online?
The wheels don't fill the fender wells properly and the box has to be totally reworked. No pictures under the hood or the interior?
Stay home!
Regards, Mark
