open door lighting
recently got a 2019. it bothers me that every time i open a door the parking lights come on. i'm not talking about using the remote, just grabbing the handle and opening the door. the book says the interior lights come on when you open a door which doesn't happen. is this normal or a problem? if a problem, any suggestions?

Depending on the trim level....
Interior lights can be deactivated by the third button from the left on the overhead console.
On my truck, it's the button just to the left of the sunroof close button.
Should be lit up amber.

Putting info like trim level and engine in your signature line can be helpful.

I have no clue on the exterior.... I think you can adjust how long they stay on in the productivity screen, maybe.

Is your Headlight switch in the Auto position? If so turn it off. My interior lights don't work usually after my wife goes somewhere with me at night. she doesn't look, she just pokes buttons until it does what she wants.

truck is basic xl trim
the only time the interior lights come on is when i push the button on the roof.
every time i open the door the marker/parking lights come on for 10 maybe 15 seconds.
the headlight **** is turned off unless i bump it with my knee getting out.
