Transmission compatibility and decoding.
I have a 03 e250, 4.6l. I lost my transmission. It has a 3C2P-7000-AA, AT, 4R70W, 8-280. I have found several 4r70 at the pick and pulls, however, not exactly the same Id numbers. What is compatible and what do the id numbers specifically mean?

I would personally phone a recycler which specializes in late Fords, to find your "interchange" choices.
RockAuto had a good interchange if you look up your transmission by vehicle, then click on the numbered interchange button which is usually to the left of the "INFO" button.
