Hey thanks Theo! I think your poll is better anyway!

I just got back from opening day for pheasant season here. We should've done better and Dan's bones are starting to feel what it is to grow old. (Yeah, I know, 39 ain't old...)

I wondered where you were at, Dan. I hope this poll gives you the data you need to commit us all to an institution.

If 39 is old, I am a fossil.

Walk 16 miles over two days carrying a Super X2 shotgun with at least one box of shells on you. Add bib overalls, waterproof boots and gloves and then the load starts to add up. Of course you are having to walk through tumble weeds (that make you trip and are hard to pick your feet over) and through crop residue. Add in the rogue coyote for spice and spooked deer.

But it's fun and I plan on doing it again..... Next year when I hope to be in better shape.

That sounds like a lot of fun.. I love to get out, where the beasties are, and bring home the dinner.

I didn't know that you had tumbleweeds in Tennessee.

Wow, we are honored... Carlene has graced our humble forum..

Welcome, have fun.

We don't have tumbleweeds in TN, Dan is a Kansas dweller, who spends a lot of his time in the TN forum..

I think I will import tumble weeds and confuse the locals.

Last time I ventured down here Wolfie was in a bad mood so I just went to reading and not writing.

I figured I'd wait until he was under a little less stress.

I forgot that Dan was from Kansas - that makes more sense.

Don't tell him I said so, but Wolfie is a teddybear... a more gentle man I have yet to meet.. I don't doubt he could get dangerous like most wolves, but he really is a cool guy.
