Well, you would be changing throttle bodies and upper plenums as well. So you have all the sensors and the IAC on the throttle body to contend with. I don't think you can just swap the lower intake plenums. I could be mistaken on this point but I doubt the upper Mustang plenum and the upper truck plenum are a port match for each other.
Out of curiosity, what are you attempting to accomplish with the Mustang intake?
I was thinking the same thing...why swap uppers? They are the same internally, except you will now have to rig up a throttle cable bracket due to the difference in the Mustang/Bronco throttlebody port locataion. Even if you swap the Mustang intake 180 degrees, you'll still have to rig up some type of intake tubing.
If you're going to go through all that, find a GT-40 upper/lower combo, or an Edelbrock upper.
Either way, if this is the only mod you plan on, you will be fairly unimpressed (except for the fact that you did the work yourself, which you should be proud of).

I talked to a couple of my buddies and they said that putting a mustang intake manifold would give me more horsepower. I was just thinking about it but I was not sure the procedures. I have to change my valve cover seals so I figured at the same time I have everything off I might as well do it.
well it would be quite a project. any your friends are right the mustang upper and lower along with all assiciated hardware and plumbing off the mustang would give you more horsepower. is it worth it? i think not. plus the truck intake is designed for the truck so it will provide more torque. you could get that same increase in power by doing some other cheaper mods.
i say pass, you wont get out what you put in..unless you swap to a explorer intake, or others.
