Door panels

will 83 door panels with the push down locks work in an 80 ford with the slide locks??
If so what kind of work will be required to get the locking mechanisms to work???

No they will not work...different linkages are involved.

I think the '80 latches have the necessary holes in the levers, so I think you could use those panels if you swap in the '83 lock button rods. If that won't work, the '83 latches will certainly fit in the '80 doors.

But if you can find a set, the '92-96 door panels are much better, with 2 storage pockets each. The drawback is that you MUST swap your vent windows to the '92-96 style with flat fronts.
