dead horn
I have a dead horn on the 14 F150, does any one know the oem decibel rating? I've been looking at after market and there are a ton of choices. Would like a little louder but no need to break eardrums, anybody messed with this? do want to keep it simple so I'll stay electric at or near stock location. thanks Jim

Get a set of 4 note horns for a 70's Cadillac. Attention getting, definitely louder than the F150 stock horns, gives it that classic big car sound without breaking laws or ear drums. I have a set for my truck.
Iirc they used them on the Buick Roadmaster from the 90's as well.

Had a dead horn on my '13 for over a year. Turned out to be corrosion on the connector pins at the horns themselves. I enjoy the factory horn on this truck.
That said, i stuck some basic hella replacements on my '87 truck. They sound SUPER out of place on that truck, very european sounding. I would avoid those.

Well for anybody that happens to give a chit, I took the easy road and put oem replacements on from amazon. Actually ford part and says made in US on each horn. was exact bolt on and plug and play, no drama and more noise! Jim
