Rear end gears
Hi guys, new to the forum. Have a 97 F250 heavy duty and want to do the solid front axle swap. Because of my location it’s difficult to get axles. I have the opportunity to buy a 97 F350 Dually in four-wheel-drive that is being parted out. Problem is my truck has the 355 and the Dually has the 410s. Does anybody know if I can pull the gear set out of the rear end on the Dually and simply put them into my existing rear end so that they are all the same gear ratio?

Yes, you can put the gears from the F350 in, but you'd need to swap pinions gears too. I'd recommend shiming them also.
Depending on the F350, it might have the SRW axle with spacers to make it a dually in the rear. If thats the case you can literally just swap the whole axle and be done, just remove the spacers.
