I was told that you cannot opt out of the Spray in Bedliner with the black appearance package because it’s part of the package, but read somewhere that the ordering guides have changed and that you could opt out to speed up production due to commodity issues with spray in Bedliners. Has anyone been able to do this. I placed my order for a 250 CC lariat with BAP Dec 9 and have not been Scheduled for production. No other commodity restrictions on my truck I’m aware of do not have adaptive steering or gooseneck option etc.

 

I just saw it on the build site, black appearance package without spray in bedliner. I guess they also removed the LED headlights as an option because they were not on there.

 

If this is true, would it have to be an "official" change? I.E. job 2 with an updated order guide?

 

 

Just went to the build site. They removed a lot of options. I am assuming the commodity issues. No remote start, cab clearance lights, quad beam led’s, and many others. Gonna contact dealer tomorrow and see if I can drop that off my package and speed up production. I’m a bit worried that if I leave it the same It may not get built. But I could be worried over nothing. I am sure ford projects out the ability to build what’s in the queue and start limiting the build options. Thoughts??

 

its in the updated order guide. BAP with bedliner is 17L BAP without bed liner is now 17M if you have BAP on your order and would like to get your truck faster, have your dealer drop 17L and add 17M. I didnt see anything in there about the LED headlights not being on the package anymore though. also if youre scheduled you will not be able to make this change this will only be for unscheduled trucks.

 

Even though the picture for the BAP without the spray in bedliner doesn't show LED's, they are/Should be still be included with the package, just not available separately. The price difference is $495 for the removal of the bedliner. However, I would hate to be wrong on the LED's. I pulled the info below off the latest order guide and it's not crystal clear.

I think he was just saying that the LED headlight option was gone, unrelated to the BAP. The quad beam headlight option, like you could choose with the Ultimate package, appears to be one of the missing options.

I'll request that my BAP order be changed to 'without spray-in bedliner.'
Weird that the 'spray-in liner' is a gating item. Material shortage?
I'll just plan on getting a Line-X after delivery.

 

Talked to my dealership today. They have a couple other people they are trying to make this change for. Sales manager said it’s not even in the system for them to make the change. He has reached out to ford to figure out how they do this but promised it would be done by end of week. I’ll keep y’all posted.

 

I inquired about it myself Friday when I went by the dealer and it wasnt in the system yet. When I saw it available online last night I emailed my rep to ask about swapping over to it but he's off today. Suppose to check into it tomorrow. Hopefully it's there.
