Windshield Wiper "Blades"

I am looking to install a better quality windshield wiper blades on my 1971 F250. My truck is out in the warm/sunny weather of Southern, CA most all of the time. The factory aftermarket rubber blades do not last to long. Truck has polished metal arms on it now.

Has anyone found a good quality blade that they have been happy with? Maybe some type of non rubber material? What's out there?

robertrpeak -- Thanks for the wiper blade information, good reading but I am looking for some real time users that are running better quality on their truck today. Lots of Silicone Wiper Blades out there but not for a 1971 F250. Has anyone found a place to get a set?

Some additional information needed:
1- Are the wiper blades on a 1971 F250 15" long?
2- Anyone have a Silicone Wiper Blade number that will fit a 1971 F250 2WD?

I too am in SoCal. I use Bosch on my vehicles and feel they are the best I have used, (other brand Anco was crap). Bosch last for two years. I have purchased Trico classics to put on my truck when it is on the street running, but I have not used them yet to tell about their quality.

The first company I ever saw that made silicone blades is no longer in business. Can't remember the name, but I bought some for my F100 and another car (I still have). both sets are still in good condition, even though they are probably 15 or more years old. I have ordered silicone refills from some Asian suppliers off flea bay since then for a couple of my other rigs hoping they would duplicate the quality, but no go. The squeegee part of the wiper peels off in less than 6 months. Just can't handle the Arizona sun. And being that rain events are few and far between here, a couple of them never even made it to the first rainstorm!

Anyone running silicone wiper blades?

If not does anyone have a brand & part number for the best rubber wiper blades?
They are for a 1971 F250, think they are 15".
