Curious if anyone can identify what this electrical component is on the wiring to my A/C compressor? It ties into the harness that plugs into the actual compressor, but it's chewed up pretty bad. Is it a fuse or resistor or something?
Wanna re-wire but don't want to leave that out if its important.

If thats to the clutch there is often diodes used to protect the wiring on the vehicle from spikes from a clutch engaging/disengaging.
