I know the above reservoir is plastic, but I don't recall if the following D6TZ reservoir is or is not. Car/truck parts catalogs aren't any help, as they don't give descriptions.
D6TZ-19A566-A .. Vacuum Reservoir: 1973 Pinto/Bobcat/Maverick/Comet; 1976/77 F100/350; 1978 F100/350 & Bronco before serial number AJ0,001.
This "coffee can" shaped reservoir is steel: D7OZ-19A566-A .. Vacuum Reservoir: 1978 F100/350 & Bronco from serial number AJ0,001; 1979 F100/350 & Bronco // Misc: 1977/79 FoMoCo Passenger Cars.
Be careful on the metal can ones.
The one on my 81 F100 had pin holes all along the bottom where it rusted through.
I pulled off the mounting bracket and coated the can in fiberglass rosin. Once hard I painted it
, put the bracket back on and works like a champ.

Yeah, great idea. It's under a vacuum, not pressure from within. I thought about coating with bed liner, but fiberglass or epoxy works I'd say. I guess I could zip tie mine to something, it just lays there on the inner fender as is.
