Payload with 7.3

I have been trying to get a decent idea of what the expected payload of the truck I have on order (no vin). It is a Lariat F250 Ultimate, CCSB, FX4, Ultimate, No moon roof, camera system7.3L.

It looks like I should expect 3000-2500 lbs. But since I have basically built a King Ranch on a Lariat package so I have been considering changing my order to just that.

Since I get mostly 6.7 oil burners posting low payloads in my other thread so I thought I would come to a narrow focused area. Anyone want to get some truck detail and payload example to help a dude out?

Thanks

Your build should be a touch more payload than this since you mentioned no sunroof. Mine is a 2022 F250 King Ranch, 7.3 gas, CCSB, King Ranch Ultimate with sunroof, 3.55 e-locker, spray-in bedliner, skid plates, 4x4 (no FX4).

Thank you for the replies. I ended up changing my order to a 350 King Ranch 7.3, so payload should never be an issue in my life again.

Its not that 2800lbs isn’t enough payload, but when I hook up to a 30ft gooseneck with a 4 ton dozer or 10 round bails, I figured it was the safer bet.

You should be in the 3,700 to 4,000 range. You made the right choice.

You'll be happy with your choice. If I used a gooseneck or 5th wheel I likely would've upgraded from the F250 to the F350 also.

Hi, phillips. Can you give us a rundown of your option list? I have a 350 XLT CCSB on order and am anticipating a 4100ish lb payload based on option weights I found on the builder site. Jus curious how close your order lines up to mine because anything over 4100 lbs would be a bonus!

Window sticker and empty weight, hope you have a short wait on the new truck! Philip.

Thanks for sharing. Here's my list. The only difference I can see is that we've added the camper package and the power mirrors. The tailgate step is moot when the TC is on the truck and your payload is based on the mat already being in the truck (I would think?). Long story short, we may be close to 4200. We'll find out soon as the truck is scheduled to be delivered in about three weeks.

I have that same truck, minus the camera system. My payload is right under 3k, 29xx. Don't remember the exact number.

My 9900 GVWR 250 in my sig has a payload of 3198. If I could do it again I would have went for the 10k GVWR F350 but not sure I would have gained much payload on that anyway since it's derated to 10k.
