Yea, Tom....I agree.... this wouldn't be my primary lift tool. My truck is too low for a floor jack in front. Currently drive the truck up on stacked 2x12s and when the truck is out of the shop they are always in the way... I'd use this to lift under the front cross member enough to get a floor jack under it to raise it more...
then either jack stands under frame or the 2x12 under the wheels depending on what kind of height I need
for the lifting itself, i have used air bags for over 30 years.
started with the fire department, then in my own shop.
but as said, i only used them to lift. if anyone went near the vehicle it was jack stand, or cribbing under it before anyone got within 1 foot of it.
