I've got some questions about the head and taillights in ny 84 f150 name are my markerlights meant to be on when the full headlights are and how do i make it so my rear directional lights are more noticeable when i have my lights on?
if it weren't obvious I'm pretty new to trucks abd stuff so sorry if this is a dumb quest
When you say marker lights would that be the side marker and the lights just under the head lights?
As fot rear turn lights they should blink brighter that tail lights.
Should be as bright as the stop lights as it uses the same part of the 1157 bulb.
Is the bulb getting dimmer when blinking? If so check the grounds to the lights not working right.

Yes i mean the side and lower lights and I'm not sure how to describe it but they're ridiculously dull for some reason despite the break and normal tail light being fine i know they're new bulbs and i don't think they get dimmer though the headlights do when i let off the throttle
For good bright tail lights, parking lights and marker lights:
1. Clean the plastic lenses inside and out.
2. Clean, corrosion free bulb sockets. These sockets came from the factory with a dab of anti corrosive conductive grease. If you drive on salty roads you can protect the connections with an anti corrosion conductive treatment.
3. Good solid ground connections to the frame.
4. Replace bulbs when they get old. The more hours on the bulbs the dimmer they get.

Specifically, look at the dual filament bulbs and make sure the correct filament lights up. Also, park in a dark location, and see if any other bulbs illuminate dimly when not commanded.
